No job is too big or too small for the team at C&A Complete Drive Solutions, Croydon Park in South Australia. The team can boast involvement in some very unique projects. The workshop is equipped with the latest CNC Lathe technology, enabling C&A the ability to customise, stock and manufacture parts to precise tolerances. We provide a 7 day a week, 24 hour a day breakdown response. |
| THE 1903 WRIGHT BROTHERS FLYER |
John Delaney first walked through the door of C&A in October 2002. He wanted to build and fly a replica of the Wright Brothers first flying machine, and wanted to know if we could assist him in designing and recreating the mechanical drive system. From producing proper engineering drawings, C&A still had the challenge to replicate the drive components. Almost one year from their first meeting and after many hours of discussion and consultation, components including propeller and drive shafts, a flywheel adaptor and a magneto adaptor sprocket were supplied. In February 2004, John Delaney made history by becoming the first Australian to successfully fly, for 8 seconds over 85 meters, a replica of the 1903 Wright Brother Flyer beating attempts made in the USA by other replica teams. |

| THE PS PEVENSEY |
Built in 1871 and running out of the port of Euchuca in Victoria, this majestic and lovingly restored paddle steamer now takes thousands of tourists up and down the River for a nostalgic taste of yesteryear. The ‘Pev’ houses gears as large as 1.6 meters (in diameter) weighing two tonne-a-piece! C&A’s engineering shop had to machine the rough oxy-cut, 100 year old discs into precision drive gears. Now this great Clydesdale of the river is dry docked and our drive gears are being installed. The final stage of this restoration project, for which all at C&A are proud to be involved, will mean the PS Pevensey will be afloat for at least another hundred years yet. |
OUR IN - HOUSE MACHINING CAPABILITIES ALLOW US TO QUICKLY CUSTOMISE COMPONENTS TO SUIT ANY APPLICATION. |
